filmlover
I said it in another thread but in retrospect, Stallone really wasn't that invincible. He wasn't nominated at SAG, or at BAFTA, among other precursors. It's too bad he didn't win, but it's not like he needs to be an Oscar winner to validate his entire career, and after so many years of swimming in shit (isn't he like the most nominated actor in Razzie history? lol), his nomination was their way of saying, "thanks for actually trying again." TalismanRing
Wonderful article on Rylance and how his win proves sometimes it really is all about the quality of the performance. He didn't campaign at all. http://deadline.com/2016/03/bridge-of-spies-supporting-actor-winner-mark-rylance-oscar-campaign-1201714271/
