theStun
So is this going to become a topic of if X amount of things didn't happen avengers 2 would of made X amount more then it did?
Sam
This is a dumb statement considering he's great in The Hurt Locker. The Hurt Locker is not exactly an action movie, isn't it? I like Renner, he was great in THL. I just think he worked better in ensemble, or as character actor, not lead in a big action franchise,
Blankments
Calling it now: It's the summer of Jeremy Renner. He already stole Avengers 2, and with people getting tired of Simon Pegg's antics, he's gonna be the best comic relief/not-Tom-Cruise character in Mission Impossible 5.
keysersoze123
I think AOU is gonna struggle to beat TDKR.
Sam
And Rachel (Slaychel) Weisz was super wasted. One of the most beautiful Hollywood actresses. I have such a crush on her especially in The Mummy.
ecstasy
It was missing the point that Jeremy Renner shouldn't be headlining as a lead action star. Like ever. I thought he was ok. But as a movie it didn't have that excitement that the other movies have. The pills and all that stuff kind of defeated the purpose of a guy able to survive on pure wit and instinct and superior skills through training. kayumanggi
Legacy was ok but it was missing something. Bourne was missing.
Elessar
One of the most beautiful Hollywood actresses. I have such a crush on her especially in The Mummy. The Mummy is the best Indiana Jones movie not starring Indiana Jones.
BadAtGender
I think it's unlikely that July will be as bad as last year, so beating 2014 seems assured. This isn't about how much the films gross, but rather whether the summer will be seen as disappointing.

filmnerdjamie
I expected this to decrease from Avengers 1 but I still expected over 500m domestic. If it can't reach that I will find it disappointing Remember when you said any sub $500M predictions were laughable?

miketheavenger
Cap 2 got the best multiplier of Avengers related movies in phase 2 with a 2.7X, IM3 had a 2.35X and Thor 2 had a 2.34X. If Avengers gets 192M OW, then it will end with the following totals: Cap 2's multiplier: 518.4M IM3's multiplier: 451.2M Thor 2's multiplier: 449M If it gets Avengers legs (3X): 575M I know it's unlikely to happen, but the meltdowns if this winds up under TDKR's total would be glorious.

BadAtGender
If certain people here weren't such dicks, it wouldn't be a big deal. Silly how personal they got. And yes funny as fuck now. A couple months ago I started looking at screen counts and weekend showings and started to think that it might end up down below 190m for the weekend, but then I thought, "nah, that can't happen." Had I continued on that logic, though, I'd have figured on a sub 500m final. But I never saw it losing more than 20% of the business. You guys are looking pretty great.
