How can this movie be boring? It's full of laughs, emotions and action. It's Bay's best summer blockbuster and with the legs it produced after it's OW, I don't how you can say boring unless you just hate action movies like you do Noctis. You only apreciate Adventure, fantasy and drama.

Why do you say that? I love action movies when they're done well. I adore Transformers 1, Casino Royale, Godfather, The Dark Knight, Indiana Jones (all), Saving Private Ryan, Mission Impossible, etc.I found this film to be appalling. I don't hate action movies. On the contrary, NOTHING gets me more excited than a well-executed action scene.

Count me in as one who loves this movie. I don't give a crap if the science is correct (I'm not looking to watch a NASA documentary here) and I can look past the Liv Tyler scenes (come on, Bruce Willis chasing Ben Affleck with a shotgun was funny.) It just entertains the hell out of me.I love the cast (Tyler isn't THAT bad), Buscemi and Clarke-Duncan are my favorite, has a lot of great lines, acting is fine & actually very good in several parts, effects look cool, story is engaging enough.Don't own it on DVD/BR but watch it every time I see it's on TV. This, Deep Impact and Dante's Peak... love em all, lol.

I mean this movie is a complete, utter mess with craziness, campiness, and so much other ridiculous stuff that it should be a terrible movie. But since it excels in all this so well, I can't hate it and as a result find it pretty enjoyable as a trainwreck of awesome and hilarious proportions.Come on, a film that invents a term like "space dementia" can't be taken seriously, ever. So embrace the madness and revel in it.The difference between a film like this and a film like Transformers 2 is that Transformers 2 takes ridiculousness to a level that insults basic intelligent thought and searingly jars you out of the film with each horrific instance.

I never got past thirty minutes of it.

Well honestly in that case, Noctis... you have no business calling the entire thing "boring" then. :lol:This one baseball player on my favorite team said on Twitter that he fell asleep in the beginning of DH2 only to wake up in the epilogue and proceeded to call the entire film boring. You'd bash him all to Hell for that, I imagine (I actually did myself,) but that's exactly what you're doing here with Armageddon. You don't like it, fine. You find it boring, fine. But at least watch the whole thing before you label it as such.

The writing in this is sensational too. There is alot of drama and some of the relationships are very well done. Harry and Truman's one scene alone where Truman tells him about wishing he could go up with them was very quietly done and very effective. And on the other end of the spectrum you have Rockhound, who makes me laugh in every scene he's in.

It's really as if they asked themselves what people liked in movies and produced two and a half hours of everything- action, romance, one-liners, a sweeping score- at full volume. Sure, it's sort of a mess. But unlike 2012 or Transformers 3, it's rarely ever boring. In fact, it's usually entertaining.

Nicely said. See Gopher, we do agree on some films. :D

Yeah that is how I would put it. I wouldn't say the movie is great, but yeah usually if it is on, I will watch it. It is cheesy and dumb at times, but for some reason, like you said, it worked in this film.B+

One of my faves is when Bear asks the doctor or a hug, while in a tank top with tears streaming down his cheeks and his mountainous arms bulging. But my favourite part of the movie is when the kid says:"Mom that salesman's on TV.""That's not a salesman, that's your daddy."

American movie at its worstbut overall a fun moviesorry that it started the whole lets mock the technology of the only nation capable of sending men into space (at the moment) theme
