So if Friday and Saturday stayed exactly the same, rth's new Sunday numbers would change the weekend to:

San Andreas - 54.6

Pitch Perfect 2 - 14.6

Tomorrowland - 14.5

Mad Max - 14.4

Age of Ultron - 11.4

Aloha - 9.7

Poltergeist - 8.0

That's only a 42% drop for Mad Max from Memorial Day weekend, pretty good. 150 is still on the table.

Weekend Report - 'San Andreas' Rocks With $53M

Someone predicted this would be the WR's title yesterday (because, of course, this is exactly the type of obvious pun Keith Simanton would find hilarious). BOM's descent is getting sad to watch.

That someone was me.  BOM send me a check, LOL.   I seeing other use the "ROCK" pun too.

It's actually been a pretty swell summer at the box office thus far. Spy, Jurassic World, Inside Out should keep it ahead of last year. And, by the end of July, it should be sprinting ahead of last summers totals. The lack of a lucrative animated feature really hurt the box office last season. Likely having two in Inside Out and Minions should nicely bolster it this 2015 blockbuster season.

We all just have to remember how fantastic this summer has been (minus Tomorrowland). Even the "disappointment" AOU grossed in the top 10 OF ALL TIME. Now we have Pitch Perfect, Mad Max and San Andreas all over performing. This is great!

Really hope Friday or Saturday was overestimated for MM by 150k or so

Mad Max doing strong business is not a surprise. PP2 however is another matter

Back in March, did many of us expect MM to gross 150M? It was really once those reviews came out that we ALL got excited for the box office.
