last i checked fk's prod budget was 260 compared to jw's 150. even at 260 it's locked to make nearly 4x that globally.

(hold from JW in brackets)

Dom 375 (-42.5%)

China 250 (+9%)

OS-Ch 475 (-40%)

= 1100

I would hope for a higher domestic total. Still think that is possible

Did she select the excerpt? Not entirely certain how that works.

I dont know either. I just know that the critic gets to choose whether or not the rating is fresh or rotten.

I think it's half & half whether reviews upload their blurb/grade to the site or RT does it. The former is more likely with strictly online blogs and sites vs newspapers and magazines.

Do people doubt this making a billion worldwide?

People didn't think a Star Wars movie would miss $400M WW and yet here we are

*I don't believe it's missing $1B FWIW*

Does anyone care that much? I’ve read enough reviews to know this film will likely please me. If it goes rotten then whatever

Someone always cares. I want to see some drama unrelated to Solo.

So I guess we could be getting similar critical reception to the first after all. If this doesn't go rotten, we might have an entire summer of fresh blockbusters. Skyscraper looks decent enough to make the cut. Only The Meg might go green.

It's RT score of 67% is lower than the first one already, and the average score is quite a bit lower (6.1 vs 6.7). I don't see this being higher than low 50's based off this start.
