If you mean this year, then there can be a third one in the form of MINIONS.

If you mean how many 350+ are possible - adjusted, 2007 had 4 movies over 350M, plus a fifth at 344M.

Terminator 5: $100M OW? It has a better chance of reaching that mark in domestic overall total than opening weekend. Inside Out and Ted 2 are on course to open $60M+ and T5 will have to deal with a lot of competition.

It actually might have a chance (if it opens with at least $85M) as it will be the only kids' film until Hotel Transylvania 2 comes out in September. Shaun and the Sheep and Underdogs release in August but between the two of them, it won't open more than $20M combined OW.

also some say that they think Star Wars might underperform. What reason would there be for that to happen? The only thing I can think of is that there were still lots of Star Wars TV shows, books, video games etc. in the last ten years thus already satisfying SW fans enough to not be that excited for a new movie but I doubt it.

Terminator 5 is not gonna repeat this success. People who think it's just pure nostalgia for an old franchise are missing the point here.

 

If it was that easy to revive old franchises to record breaking sales, everyone would be doing it all the time. Jurassic World got a lot more right than just pure nostalgia.

she really was one of the only highlights of those bullshit shyamalan movies she was in. strong work there all things considered. I've always liked her, but it's a shame her reviews for this lean towards less-than-favourable.
