One thing Jurassic World has going for it that I think is understated is the originality in the setting. As far as I'm aware, there hasn't ever been a tentpole set in an actual amusement park. I haven't seen it yet, but that's honestly what gets me excited for this in addition to the JP nostalgia. It's creative despite being tied in intrinsically with the property.

With 3D losing its luster, not much incentive for people to pay theater prices when they can just pop their blu ray in.

 

Yep, I would have gladly paid $20 to see it in a 2D theater again but I didn't bother with the 3D release.

I honestly would've been open to this if it came out this year with Zemeckis, Gale, Lloyd, and Fox back. Have Marty in the Doc role going with a kid back to 1985 from our 2015... it could've been interesting

I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come until 2019, considering Legendary/Universal have Skull Island, Pacific Rim 2, and Godzilla 2 coming in the next few years.

Jurassic 5 in 2018-2019 would be a nice target.  I don't think they should rush it.   Jurassic sequels always breathe a little.
