MovieMan89
Spielberg's revenge. Before Batman '89, the top 5 domestic was: 1.) Spielberg 2.) Lucas 3.) Produced by Lucas 4.) Spielberg 5.) Spielberg/produced by Lucas Speaking of Spielberg/Lucas, Mr. Trevorrow is having one of the most successful directorial breakouts since the two of them. grey ghost
The Huntsman, in theaters next April A couple similarities to Ted 2. 1) A sequel not many people were begging for 2) Loss of a key actress
movieboner
Spectacular performance for JW and IO. Horrible for Ted 2.....what went wrong? I predict Inside Out to finish with $350-370 million domestic.
Tubes
As of now the top four domestic is: 1) Cameron 2) Cameron 3) Marvel 4) DC/Nolan Jurassic World is about to ruin everything. Notably, this is the first time a Star Wars film has been out of the top 5 all time domestic. TPM just managed to make it on the 3D rerelease before Avengers opened. grey ghost
Plenty of gay men prefer heavier guys. I'm willing to bet six pack Pratt has alot more gay fans than the doughy Chris Pratt.

MovieMan89
Most people seem to expect 330-340 m for IO. Which is way too high with Minions coming. People should just be happy aiming for 300. After all it is less than 15m ahead of Monsters University at the same point, and that missed 300 by over 30m. And MU's 2nd weekend drop was less than 2% steeper. Yes this weekend's drop was good and so will next weekend's be, but then it's unlikely to have great holds. grey ghost
Not every movie that's successful needs a sequel. Any studio exec who refused to make a sexual to Ted would've been fired and thrown in a mental ward.
