Bishop54
Terminator isn't gonna bomb, people seem to be really excited for it Who? Where?
goldenstate5
China begs to differ about TG bombing. Well the Chinese have horrid tastes in American movies. One of their top grossing films is Garfield 2: A Tail of Two Kitties.
Ethan Hunt
They're more excited to this than to Minions? Not necessarily, the hype for Terminator nis definitely a lot more visible though
JennaJ
China begs to differ about TG bombing. Ehm. It doesn't even have a release date in China yet. Sure it could do well there, but nothing is guaranteed.
JennaJ
Who? Where? All I see on twitter are people commenting on how awful the reviews are.

Ethan Hunt
Who? Where? People my age are pumped for the new terminator, everyone's been talking about since like April
keysersoze123
Who? Where? There are few unicorns in Ethan's backyard who are excited for TG than the fricking Minions. On a serious note I would easily join Minions 1st 2 days > TG Domestic.
redfirebird2008
It's sort of tragic for the theaters. So much money down the drain. That's one factor people are underestimating with Star Wars. Long ass IMAX contract just like Avatar and Hobbit. Should be enormous in that format.

Should be enormous in that format. it helped in one film's case and not so much for the other. It all depends on the reception. Avatar had a must see factor for Imax. TDK and TDK® did great there as well(TDKR held OW Imax record until JW recently). JW also benefited from it.
Ethan Hunt
I'm in no way shape or form suggesting that Terminator will out gross Minions. I'm just saying I haven't witnessed people talking about Minions the way I have Terminator. I know kids are a big part of the Minions audience and I can't really asses the hype coming from then. I also can't tell you whether older people are excited for Terminator but my demographic is pumped for it, I see 160-180M domestic

MrFanaticGuy34
Hmm....i sense that TG unfortuantely get's a lot of many haters here recently.......way too many haters.
JohnnyGossamer
Ethan... Is this the same hype you sensed for Ted 2? Just joshing... I too thought Ted 2 would open bigger than it did (I had it around $60M OW DOM). I see about $130M DOM TOTAL for Terminator. I see about $135M OW DOM for Minions. JennaJ
Hmm....i sense that TG unfortuantely get's a lot of many haters here recently.......way too many haters. It just looks like crap and the reviews are crap. I could care less about this movie one way or the other, but when something looks this bad, it's interesting to see how it does. Like watching a car crash, you want to look away but you just can't.
