See, that's what I thought was gonna happen last weekend, and then Universal surprised by being a bit less conservative.

We'll see how it turns out this time around.

Of course, studio estimates for Saturday might change the whole picture. We'll know soon enough.

$500m was too big of a milestone for Universal to chicken out last weekend. Nothing like that this weekend. It will blow past $550m even with a very conservative Sunday projection.

That makes sense, but if it meant that much to them and they extrapolated wrong, that means they'd be embarrassed.

 

(Actually, as I recall, it wasn't until Sunday that their estimates had it crossing 500.)
