Yuck on those Terminator numbers. That's like 500,000 less than I was hoping for. Well last Friday the early estimates were 3.5 million and it bumped up to 4 million in the morning. So I'm hoping for another 300,000- 500,000 bump here. I have a feeling they will be bumped up to at least 1.7 million in the morning.

It's funny because MCU is probably the only franchise other than DCCU capable of making movies in a diverse set of genre's, and they do, from a Bourne style action movie to a space opera to a robot uprising movie to a heist movie.

 

Perhaps they are cookie cutter movies, but it's strange that I don't remember a story of two fathers tyring to win back their daughters being the central theme of any other MCU movie.
