Avatar, despite being the highest grossing film of all time, didn't really seem to enter the popular culture. Nobody really talks about its world or characters.

This is always amusing. "Nobody talks about it!" *people proceed to talk about it*

How did Batman get back to Gotham? One minute he's out of the pit, no resources, and the next he's back? Shoddy writing

Fuck it, I am just gonna play along.

Why the fuck did Whedon decided that was a good idea to spend half of a movie on scenes of superheroes saving random civilians?!

it's true. How many people still care about Jake Sully or Colonel Quaritch or want to read supplemental materials for Avatar? Not many. Also, it is interesting how Sam Worthington's career seemed to fall apart. A big difference between that movie's lead and Ttanic

I wonder if Disney delays VIII and turns Star Wars into a Christmas staple after these numbers.

Dec 15 - TFA

Dec 16 - Rogue

Dec 17 - VIII

Dec 18 - Solo

Dec 19 - IX

You're forgetting Avatar. I  think Fox wants to make that a  Christmas staple too.
