He is gonna rush Avatar 2 now. 1 minute ago, MovieMan89 said: Well it is basically following Avatar's first weekday holds as closely as possible, so 30-35% should be right. Who the hell knows at this point though? It is not gonna be less than 30% and it will likely be around 35%.

Either SW7 pulls in 30m+ and the craziness goes on with BO watch or you can upgrade to premium, change your name and go batshit crazy with likes The BO reports will still be insane regardless I'm hoping it goes over 30m, but there was no condition for me, so why not?
ChiSoxRox
#29 all-time unadjusted after six days. The scary thing is, on Christmas Day TFA enters the top 100 adjusted.

It won't do 30M tomorrow. It might fail to do 25M tbh. Lets not get carried away. Not even Avatar had a drop like that and this is following Avatar.

MovieMan89
39m today, plus Avatar's Thursday-Sunday holds give it a $180m second weekend and $570m Sunday total.

Will Cameron follow the tradition and do a full page congratuation to JJ on Varity? That is the question. Or maybe to Lucas back (like Lucas did to him when Titanic took the record). I mean JJ obviously did an incredible work but the biggest reason to this massive success is it's the mutherfucking Star Wars. ForcedForward
Looking at what A New Hope did when adjusted for inflation, I'm now thinking people that I thought were crazy to say 1 billion might not be so crazy. It may very well beat titanic's adjusted take. First time I saw the movie I was disappointed, just saw it again and it was much better the second time around. The Panda
So, here's the real question. If The Force Awakens has a 90m+ weekend on Jan 1, does American Sniper keep its record?
Dementeleus
@Baumer Fett, I've donated $25 to the forums. Congratulations to all of us! In other news, my wife came home and immediately asked when we were gonna see SW again. I started looking for seats at good theaters over the next several days and everything is taken. Finally found decent seats at the Arclight Hollywood Dome the day after Christmas, at least we can see it in Laser-3D.
