We all know everything for the next 3 months will flop. This is what happens when a monster blockbuster happens. It happened with Jurassic World and Avengers.

BvS will be the next big opener (I am not even discussing numbers here, lets just agree with a 135-205M range to appease everyone and be done with it). Until then all I see are underperformers and flops.

Agreed. KFP3, Deadpool, and Zoolander probably all disappoint now. Zootopia may be the next real hit, like Alice after Avatar.

I guess Lucasfilms was really a bargain for Disney.

Yup, Disney got a steal at 2 billion, Lucas sold way way too cheap, forgetting merchandise which alone was probably worth 2 billion.

I think Lucas film and all the rights to merchandise was worth double the 2 billion he got.

The next 6 movies will at the minimum gross 9 billion worldwide over the next 6 years, add merchandise, theme park, it's mind boggling.

So, I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but....SW7 is literally breaking a record every fuckin day.

Fastest to..

100m - 1 day ($119.119m)

150m - 2 days ($187.413m)

200m - 3 days ($247.966m)

250m - 4 days ($288.076m)

300m - 5 days ($325.438m)

350m - 6 days ($362-$364m) estimates.

400m - 7 days ($401m) [Stays flat, $39m estimates]

450m - 8 days ($471m) [80% increase from $39m Thur] CHRISTMAS

500m - 9 days ($544m) [5% increase from $70m Fri]

550m - 10 days ($602m) [20% drop from $73m Sat]

600m - 10 Days ($602m)

Is this even possible? I think I'm being conservative with my increases and drops, but this is if it stays flat tomorrow (and if today is $39m).

Forgot about Zootopia. That movie is gonna make good numbers. Not Alice level, but Big Hero 6/Lorax level.

As was Marvel.

With both Star Wars AND Marvel, there is a shit ton of licensing, merchandising, etc money coming in from far more than just the movies too. It's on a completely different scale for Star Wars and Marvel than it is for other big films like Titanic, Avatar, Fast & Furious, and so on. Disney is just rolling in it.

It will do at most 26M tomorrow :) It is Christmas Eve so business won't be at the same level.

I know I said a few times "imagine how well TPM would've done if it were good".

People laughed. "TPM still did great because fanboys in denial went to see it 5 times. It won't be matched".

Well it looks like EVERBODY is watching TFA 5 times.

Who's laughing now, motherfuckas??? :ohmyzod:
