This is something CJohn and me noticed as well

Adding further insult to injury for Gods of Egypt is that Butler has another film opening next weekend, the sequel London Has Fallen, which is expected to make $25M. According to RelishMix, Butler is busy promoting that movie to his 3.7M Twitter/Facebook followers and completely bailing on Gods. Just look at the banner on both of his accounts: It’s for London Has Fallen!

Reminds me of Channing Tatum promoting another underperforming sequel Magic Mike XXL on Ellen instead of Jupiter Ascending

Butler completely stayed away from Gods. He acted like it didn't existed and is instead promoting London Has Fallen everywhere. And I now understand why

Isn't Becky G gonna be in it? Hopefully her acting is better than her music

Yep and she's who I was referring to in being put off.  Lol at someone comparing Star Wars fresh faces to these, I get the sentiment but if you know anything about Becky G you'll no it's a comparison that just doesn't work.  Hoping the screenwriters can save this.

He did an appearance on Today Show talking only for Gods of Egypt, interviews aboard e.t.c

I don't think he could sell GOE anyway.

He is the producer of London has fallen which costed 105 mil, it will be very interesting for him to earn that money but it's not like it will be an oscar bait.
