4 of the top 5 seasonal openings are from the past 9 months

WINTER Deadpool $132,434,639
SPRING Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice $170,100,000
SUMMER Jurassic World $208,806,270
FALL Gravity $55,785,112
HOLIDAY Star Wars: The Force Awakens $247,966,675

If only The Walk hadn't taken IMAX screens, "The Martian" would have made it 5 out of 5.

And every single monthly record apart from July is from the past 4 years

JANUARY American Sniper $89,269,066
FEBRUARY Deadpool $132,434,639
MARCH Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice $170,100,000
APRIL Furious 7 $147,187,040
MAY The Avengers $207,438,708
JUNE Jurassic World $208,806,270
JULY Harry Potter / Deathly Hallows (P2) $169,189,427
AUGUST Guardians of the Galaxy $94,320,883
SEPTEMBER Hotel Transylvania 2 $48,464,322
OCTOBER Gravity $55,785,112

DECEMBER Star Wars: The Force Awakens $247,966,675

God damn it. If only The Martian could have beaten Gravity

I got:

Civil War

X-Men Apocalypse

Suicide Squad

Huntsman Winters War

Seems to be an appropriate inclusion. Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron looking like female superhero going against her villain nemesis anyway.

Yeah, it's probably a good idea to not doing this if you wanna avoid coming across as way too strong, iJack.

Ya know what, it is most definitely a good idea.

Like I've said, it was after watching the film and sleeping on it I was still royally pissed. I'm vocal, like I'd be with any given film from either studio/fandom that I had a major anticipation/interest with. Discussing how I react and painting me like a fandom enemy like Tele is doing won't make him job any easier. When people get pissed with Trank, Webb or others, it's about the films, not about us users, as it should imho.

I don't think you're an enemy of fandom, I think you're a guy who tends to react in an extreme manner when it comes to CBMs, whether positively or negatively.

Nice to hear, maybe there's hope for Ghostbusters yet.

Trailer reception isn't everything though. Brothers Grimsby's trailer had a fantastic reception at Deadpool (not just from my theater, others on this forum have had the same experience) and look how that turned out.

The second oldest monthly OW record just fell. Oldest existing Monthly OW record is still the July record for DH2 which was set in 2011.

The Avengers OW won't be beat til 2019.

Fantastic #s!

1.2 - 1.5bil locked.

mmmm....no.

Contrary to other CBM that roll all of their markets at different time, it has opened in every market bar a small one.

It won't hit $1.2B let alone $1.5B.

It will either fall between TDK and TDKR numbers or between TDKR and IM3.

BvS had a 424m WW ow.

44m came on Wed and Thu OS and 27.7m in Thu previews Dom.

So for the sake of the following calculations, the true-ow was 353m WW.

It needs 576m more to get 1b. That's 1.63x of 353m more or a global true-ow multiplier of 2.63x.

1b = 2.63 x 353m + 44m + 27.7m
