CaptainJackSparrow
International Forum Rules 01) Tentpole franchise film releases (Essentially sequels to proven films with strong OS BO performances) are allowed discussion threads up to 12 months in advance. There should be no requirement to be any earlier for International Rollouts. Skull Island OS Thread I am thinking huge numbers for this, King Kong 2005 did over 300 mil OS, I think this can clear 600 mil as long as it is better received than Godzilla 2014. What numbers are you all thinking? Edited March 26, 2017 by CaptainJackSparrow
Cookson
It should do more than G14 I think. This should feel more "adventurous". For now I'm going with 400 OS.
kaijukurt
IMO, 300m should be the floor.

NoobSaibot
$300 million overseas, tops. Keeping it within the range of Godzilla (2014) for now.

eXtacy
Thinking this does less than Godzilla (2014) overseas.
TimmyRiggins
No way it does less than Godzilla, it's gonna do more. This trailer means money.

NoobSaibot
Some of these predictions are nuts. Especially $200 million from China. Is King Kong even that popular over there? I don't think he is. Edited February 21, 2017 by NoobSaibot

There will be about 43,000 screens including about 400 IMAX screens in March 2017.
