Zootopia is down 74% from Sunday.  Schools are definitely back in session.

Some schools may be still out. The normal Monday drops for animated movies when school is in session are close to 85%.

I think 910-920 million is still possible for BvS

And I think one day I could learn how to fly and harness the power of the sun to live forever, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen. :P

Steep drop for BvS around here in Brazil this weekend. At the pace it's going, it will end up way below AoU in the long run. The drops don't help and the dollar/real ratio even less. Actuals just came up here, no idea how it looks on our own thread here.

Hmm you may be right.  Looks like some Peninsula schools are still closed.

Alright, let's see if I can project Zootopia's coming weekend.

Let's assume Thursday's total is $1.5 million.

Let's also assume that it makes a jump to $4.5 million on Friday.

Then a bump up to $8.2 million on Saturday.

Then $5.1 million on Sunday.

That's a 6th weekend (Fri-Sun) of $17.8 million.

I think the reviews are definitely responsible for these numbers. Colleagues of mine mentioned they were definitely interested in seeing the movie, but not in the cinema because they read it was a bad movie..

Bad movie = bad reviews = people won't see it.

Is this breaking news to anyone?

Inside Out's 5th Monday, which was on July 20th : $1,583,304

Zootopia's 5th Monday, which was on April 04: $1,401,284

Zootopia did that on a school day. Not summer. Not the middle of July.
