Just got back from TJB. It looked so good in IMAX 3D and was so much fun. I love that they didn't shy away from making Shere Khan scary. Really great voice work by pretty much everyone, especially Idris Elba and Christopher Walken. 

 

Hopefully it can break $100M this weekend.

Wow. If Saturday can go up to 40M, 100M is in the realm of possibility. Crazy talk Somebody should make a TJB > MJ2 OW club  And w/this, it's very possible that 300M can be achievable, as the less liked (but still liked) Cinderella had all but one of its first 9 weekends in release below 50%, the only one where it did fall below 50 having to face competition from Home, Get Hard and Insurgent. TJB pretty much has April all to itself, Huntsman will likely flop anyway. FOUR 300M GROSSERS BEFORE SUMMER MOVIE SEASON EVEN BEGAN. 2016 IS THE BEST BOX OFFICE YEAR EVER BITCHES.

 

Also, Zootopia will likely finish on par or slightly above BVS. I'm no hardcore BVS hater or anything, but that's just laughable. How can BVS have drops that put it almost in the same numbers as an animation that's been out for 7 fucking weeks now? Thank God for it still bringing 800M+ WW, but it'll stall below or on 900M. Bollocks.

I've been saying JB would do $100 million opening weekend. If it does $40 million Saturday it might be in the bag?!?

If Zootopia can sneak past 1B, and Jungle Book has strong legs to take in there as well, Disney will have three 1 billion dollar movies in the first half alone... with Finding Dory, Rogue One, Moana to come. Even Alice 2 may surprise.

Could be another Jurassic World situation this weekend!

I had a sinking suspicion back in January that BvS could disappoint and this would actually end up being the breakout movie in this period right before the summer. 
 

Looks like that may actually happen if these numbers continue this weekend. Again reviews do count! 95% and 4.3/5. If it wasn't this high on RT, it wouldn't be doing this good. I'm going to see it tomorrow and am definitely looking forward to it.
