And so what? What would it take for the Oscars to be relevant anyways? Give Best Picture to a Marvel movie every year?

No perhaps to the Leo Pic?

There's a long line for my 6:30 showing right now. And I intentionally chose a small theater too. Fuck

Our theater was crazy busy for our 5:00 showing.  I've only seen 1 other movie have a Sunday evening like that.  Hopefully actuals will be higher.

I noticed on IMDB Civil war is rated 8.7 by US Users and 8.3 Overseas?

Could be a sign like Winter Solider will be well liked and good legs here in NA but decent overseas?

I am thinking it will be `800 to 850 max oveseas while domestic will go past Ultron.

We saw CW again at 3:30. Several previous shows were sold out, and ours was at least 90% full. As we left the theater was swarmed for the evening shows and most of the restaurants surrounding it were overflowing. That's one of the busiest theaters in the region, which is always swamped for big weekends.

Some overseas drops are brutal for Civil War.

True but it still made 220 million this weekend and I imagine European drops will be  far better next weekend which is still wide and clear.

As of right now the min domestic gross is 436 million as that is Ultron  Legs based on a 181.8 million opening.

I dont see any evidence for this to have worse legs then Ultron

Good job. And you did it all while mostly sober too, unlike how it was back then with IM3 :P

I hope for a good hold. Your 47M would be nice.
