Starts with a 79 on Metacritic :jeb!:

Looks like we have a comedy hit on our hands. Because when there's mediocre comedic flop after mediocre comedic flop, the comedy that actually has good reviews and releases at an opportune time for counter-programming will be the one to strike it rich.

Girls Trip also caters to an underserved audience.

Seems like the stars are aligned toward a major breakout for Latifah, Pinkett, Hall, and Haddish.

That's another good point!

The reviews themselves are really enthusiastic about it, though. It's begun with a 78 on Metacritic with 5 reviews tallied so far.

And I'm saying it's too early to see where the final % will land at.

I'm one of three who took it in the summer game to finish in the top 15.  I thought the trailer was funny from the get go.  I hope this does well and I hope it's as funny as the trailer suggests.

Same. Jada Pinkett Smith's bathroom emergency and the "booty hole" bit at the end killed every time I saw the trailer before a movie. Can't say the same for any of this summer's other comedies.
