Weekend Estimates (Page 92): Pets 103.2M (biggest OW ever for an original movie) | Tarzan 20.6M | Dory 20.3M | M&D 16.6M

Not to be a contrarian or anything but I can't be the only one who preferred the predatory and tenacious fogey to the immense drag that Marlin can be at times? Favorite hawk character eva!

You need boring straight man characters like Marlin in order for wacky characters like Dory to work in the same movie. It's all about balance.

I'm seeing a lot of positive reactions on Twitter with people saying how cute it was.  WoM should be good.

Yes..if you count a sample of, say, 200 tweets, most of them will be positive.

Am thinking a 3 multiplier is a good bet. Above that is possible too.

Every few minutes more people are tweeting. So far it's largely positive.

Huge for SLOP...but I just don't understand its appeal. I mean, I do, but to this extent?! I just watched the clips on YT and not once did I smile/laugh aside from the one with the cat.

If I ever have kids they'll never be allowed to watch these dumb illuminati movies.

Theyre going to watch some good, true movies like The Wizard of Oz, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, Finding Nemo, Inside Out, Spirited Away, Poltergeist, The Wolf of Wall Street, Blue is the Warmest Color, Holy Motors, Pulp Fiction, Wall-E, The Sound of Music

You know whole, good, family films, not these wannabe Minions movies.

6.5 + 8.75 + 6.75 = 22m (-47.5%) for Dory I feels.

Against such a monster Pets ow & coming off an inflated weekend followed by strong weekdays, a 45-50% drop was always on the cards.

If it touches the higher end of RTH's # and gets 7m on Friday, 23m is possible.
