They will get even more 'inexplicable' this weekend Side note, Bad Moms is ahead of Bourne on MT and Fandango. I don't know how relevant that is, but I think BM is the ONLY movie that is gonna have a decent hold this weekend.

I don't think there will be an Ice Age 6, though. Probably more profitable to make new characters at this point.

Several I know like Beyond, sadly I don't know anyone whose seen Bourne beside me in my circles so in some regards it's run makes more sense but still. The brand power is still there but they have to, in the end, deliver the real goods. The action is tense and epic, and Damon is Bourne but the plot is super thin, way too thin. Tommy Lee is wasted, Vikander shows promise but her role is underwritten. The social media sub-plot feels like an afterthought and that scene in Vegas involving the Google/Facebook cult leader-type is over the top. The movie does have more heat than Renner version. I thought this could sneak past $200M like WWZ or Godzilla but I think it might end up around $165M like STB.

Either they have to......or instead make a sequel to their other films, that aren't Ice Age-related. Most of Bluesky's non-Ice Age films made around almost $240-300M WW. Only the Rio-films made way more than that between $480-500M WW. So Bluesky is gonna need an original that could be a breakout. But we all thought the same thing about The Peanuts Movie....(which was very well liked)...but instead ended up being Bluesky lowest grosser WW-wise. Maybe OS-audience are hesitant to give money to a Bluesky that isn't Ice Age. I don't get it.
