It's based on the non-fiction, autobiographical book written by Jim Lovell (with Jeffrey Kluger). I mean, sure, technically every non-documentary ever made is a dramatization of some sort, but that doesn't mean it's fictionalized.

With est. 6.5M opening day it should be good for at least 15M opening week. Dr. Strange will suck every competition next week. I think we are talking about sub 35M total. Taking inflation into account, this is less than what Davinci's Code made in its opening day alone.

 

I would not surprised if Madea takes the wknd crown again.
