THUNDER BIRD
While there could be few comments that will say that Deadpool is making money but not xyz movie, they'll be referring to xyz movie, not Oppenheimer cause Oppenheimer actually made money. Like on Mad Max subreddit, someone made a post was Angry that Furiosa flopped but Bad Boys 4 made money.

They have about as much knowledge on how the box office works as that guy who thinks Deadpool and Wolverine has a shot at $2 billion. Also, no one should really take people's opinions on Twitter or subreddits seriously. After Deadpool and Wolverine comes out, is (likely) praised by the majority of people, and becomes a success, you'll get a whole bunch of people who will somehow say that the movie was just "mid" or post one singular frame that has some bad or noticeable CGI and claim that "people still watch this crap." The same thing happened with Spider-Man: No Way Home and I expect the same thing to happen to Deadpool and Wolverine. It's annoying, but that's why you should never take people who are still on that negative and cynical as hell platform that seriously.
filmlover
Why am I not even remotely surprised they managed to get the soundtrack for The Greatest Showman to make an appearance in this lmao.

Well they better be furious when they find out that Bad boys 4 made more domestically than the entire worldwide total of Furisoa.

Different days. MCU state isn´t nearly as strong. Besides those movies had incredible reception. We don´t know for sure that will happen. Anything above 800M is good. We've had a 2 billion and an almost 2 billion dollar grosser, 2 1.5 billion movies and 2 1.3 billion movies. So nothing says that D&W shouldn't aim at bigger milestones than just 800 million. And reception again us on makers, if it doesn't get good reception then they certainly won't be happy, 800 million or 1 billion.
THUNDER BIRD
As I've said, 800 would be simply horrendous, no matter where you put it. This is the biggest movie Marvel can put out after Avengers level movies. Good thing though, is that it won't happen. There are more chances of it becoming highest grossing R Rated movie than skittling to 800 million.

If they can go 3 for 3 then that’s a great result.

WittyUsername
I have to imagine that Disney would be somewhat disappointed if this “only” makes around $800 million.
AMC Theaters Enjoyer
Unless the budget for this is Endgame levels (WHICH I AM NOT SAYING/DON'T BELIEVE IT IS) and/or the film has a Doctor Strange 2 performance, there's no reason to be disappointed in an 800M WW take. That's in line with previous films, higher actually. Edited July 18 by AMC Theaters Enjoyer
