Another show that is a very good FRIENDS offshoot is New Girl. It started as a quirky vehicle for Deschanel but halfway through the 1st season it turned into a pretty awesome " people hanging around" ensemble show.

Yes, a franchise that consistently produced near-and-above $300m grossers in the US was totally being snubbed by that market.

For Harry Potter level it was. Obviously my comment was meant to be a little exaggeratory but the overseas numbers that HP pulled were legendary compared to  DOM where it had a lower average than THG for example ! I didn't believe it when I noticed it! DH2 not being even in the top 20??!!!??? I mean it did "only" some 150m less than TFA OS !!!
