The first two pictures are from A Bigger Splash, which is an erotic thriller/drama/ It's awesome and Dakota Johnson is superb (well, all 4 central actors are fab).

 

 

And yeah, I liked Ghostbusters. Of all the expensive franchise movies this year, the rest of which were pretty shoddy, it felt honest and innocent and it was just really funny. I really enjoyed myself.

Some categories' nominations, such as Best Picture, are entirely derived of films that I actually saw, and, of course, if I actually saw the movie, the chances of me deciding to give it other nominations went way up (a.k.a why Florence Foster Jenkins has so many nominations). Movies that I wish to have seen but couldn't include Arrival, Kubo and the Two Strings, Lion, Deepwater Horizon, Moana, The Nice Guys, and The BFG.)

(And I never actually saw any of those documentaries, miniseries / TV movies, and foreign films with the exception of The Wave, so I based that on what I wanted to support.)

Wait, is Fantastic Beasts an adapted screenplay or original one? I mean, she basically just took the idea from a manual of magical creatures that contained no stories in it and made a story out of it but I guess it still counts as adapted?

Adapted. It is based off of pre-existing characters and materials.
