It was #14 on my list, and I thought I was one of the higher ones. There's going to be a lot of snubs now, though.

The book is pretty bad IMO, though I think it could work better as a film. Never doubt our lord Spielberg.

chasmmi
Godammit, this brings back the hope that Handmaiden could make it! If it Japanese anime can do it, maybe the Korean Lesbian Drama can? It's fun allowing my dreams to be crushed two days in a row

grim22
#14 Spoiler Sing Street A surprisingly good movie with really good music as well. This movie captures the mid-80s (which itself seems to be the age of peak Nostalgia in 2016) really well and makes it a hattrick of successful musical movies for John Carney after Once and Begin Again. Kind of disappointing that “Drive it like you stole it” was not even nominated for Best Song. User Reviews Absolutely loved this. The best film I've seen since maybe Room, every character was perfectly cast in their roles and the music was just great. Jack Reyner as Conor's brother probably surprised me the most; who knew that the dude from Trans4mers was such a good actor. -TMP I expected this to be a generic quirky indie movie, but it's great. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -WrathofHan

filmlover
I finally saw Sing Street on Netflix a few weeks ago and it's such a cute movie. Damn you for screwing it over, Harvey!
Jayhawk the Hutt
I honestly didn't put Sing Street in my Top 25 just because how much I hated the ending. Would've been top 20 if not.
