Ghost in The Shell now at 43% on RT. Damn...:(

Boss Baby RT score keeps increasing and it's already higher than Ghost in the Shell's.

GITS will probably do better then PR did OS. So they will probably make their money back.

Yeah, just not looking good right now. Unless it China shocks us with the numbers on it. Think it safe to say it was a failure for Lionsgate.

Well it depends on how you look at it.  Technically, the movie is already successful for them.  They were only on the hook for $25 million dollars, plus domestic marketing, which supposedly was another $30 million.  So by those numbers, the movie will already be making a profit for them before the end of the weekend.   The issue for getting a sequel will be whether or not their international distributors are willing to buy one.  Even with the lower weekend projections, the movie will still be approaching its total budget of $100 million WW by Monday (unless it's absolutely disastrous overseas this weekend, both with second week numbers and the places it's opening this week, it will be well over $90 million) with big markets yet to open.  I'm disheartened by the projections, but not necessarily worried just yet.

Can anything do worse than PR OS? Man, 18M from 62 markets is the new low or something.

That number a little misleading since most of those markets are small. PR still hasn't been released in some major markets.

Dreamworks and Fox promoted Boss Baby early and well. The trailers got good views as well (over 20M per trailer almost). The Subway promotions and the TV spots have been airing since the past 2+ months, and they didn't shy away from promoting it almost like "What if Trump was a literal baby?". Contrast with Captain Underpants which they don't seem to remember exists and are giving the minimal push possible.

To be fair they still have a few months to promote CU, but it does seem like Dreamworks has no faith in the film.

Plus it's patently untrue that it's a low point.  The Turbo movie did WAY worse.

Trailers I got at GITS:

F8 of the Furious (WHY IS THE BASS SO DAMN GOOD IN THESE TRAILERS?)

Rough Night

Alien Covenant

It

Transformers (the shifting IMAX ratio looks a lot better in theaters)

Baywatch

GOTG (3D)

Valerian (3D)

There's one shot in the Valerian trailer that had me in awe. The 3D in that one is going to be beautiful.

Kind of surprised BB is breaking out.

Saw GITS and it deserves more

No it doesn't. Pretty look alone doesn't deserve more. The story was generic as fuck as were all characters. Sanders is truly the New Hack on the Block. The movie wasn't even entertaining. Started kind of promising and than fizzzzzzzled.
