Bad decision imo. They should've tried waiting for The Grinch or Fantastic Beasts. Perhaps the trailer will be shown in those films regardless, but I feel like this second Goosebumps film will likely come and go with subdued fanfare. I'm not sure how well it will do, but I'm willing to bet it'll make less than its predecessor when all is said and done.

January is a very good move. There was once a commenter who says that in January, people see whatever's out. And if Glass reminds them that the movies are a viable place to go, I'm pretty sure this film can also entice the family audience to a degree.

 

I'm just absolutely certain that January is as barren as it is because of the Holiday holdovers... but holdovers are, well, holdovers.
