MT:

BR 27.1

AM 7.9

MLP 6.8

It 6.8

Kingsman 5.6

Pulse:

1. BR

2. MLP

3. BR IMAX

4. Mountain

5. It

That seems like a good sign for The Mountain Between Us that it's showing up several hours before previews start. Still thinking it'll do low-teens over the weekend since there hasn't been anything aimed mostly at older women aside from Home Again in a while.

I'm sticking with 9M for now; if presales dramatically increase, I'll go into double digits.

Deep Wang update:

- BR2049 will end on par with Dunkirk and higher than Apes

- MLP lower than Emoji and Ninjago

BR4049 is looking very good for +40m OW. I am actually on the +55m train.

For MLP, that feels bad to me. It is an established property with a fanbase and yet doing less than Emoji?

Less theaters and summer vs fall would be the difference. This was never expected to get into the 20 mil range. I have no idea on the budget though so it remains to be seen what is deemed successful

Update

1st local - MLP - 10/120

2nd local - MLP - 9/110 (Friday night Atom theater - 6:30pm 49/95 sold - seems those $2 tickets are being used for real weekend shows, not Thursday)

So, MLP has sold 3 more tickets at 1st local and none at 2nd in 18 hours...

1st local - BR - (added a 2nd 2d show today) - 50/185 and 0/185 (added show) for 50/370, 9/185 3d showing

2nd local - BR - (switched a 2d show to 3d last minute) 36/300ish, 22/300ish 3d showing

So, BR has sold 11 more 2d tickets and 1 more 3d ticket at 1st local and 6 more tickets total at 2nd local (once the swap was worked out) in 18 hours...

I'll update again tomorrow before showtime...

Last Update from me...

1st local - MLP - 13/120 (weirdly ALL at the 10pm showing)

2nd local (Atom) - MLP - 22/110

1st local - BR - 54/370 2d, 8/185 3d (this is not selling here - somehow lost a seat)

2nd local - 85/300ish 2d, 37/300ish 3d (much better here - these adult male focused films sell better here, so I'm not surprised)

Adding Mountain Between Us

1st local MBU - 0/120 (2 showings)

2nd local MBU - 9/170ish (2 showings on different size screens)

Final tallies here for 7:

BR: 48/124

MLP: 21/78

MBU: 17/60

The 7:45 and 8:30 BRs have sold 12/69 and 9/78 so far

BR is slightly below Kingsman, but the next two shows look much more encouraging than the second and third Kingsman showings did. They might have sold more combined already.

I thiiiiink MBU is ahead of Home Again but I'm not certain.

Okay for Bladerunner 2049. It is running now behind Kingsman, which had 275 at the same point. Other films: Dark Tower had 242 and Valerian had 247 both at the same point.

MLP is just pathetic....solid 11 tickets since Wednesday..SAD!

MBU is on bar with Logan Lucky, Home Again, Kidnap, and mother!

Bladerunner 2049 241 1,272 18.9%
My Little Pony 26 234 11.1%
Mountains Between us 39 234

16.7%

I'm curious how that BOTS expansion works out. It could be another Derby killer.

Will post my theater's estimated revenue numbers for BR after the next round of showings. If the night ended now it is 20.8% ahead of Kingsman's Thursday take and 13% behind Planet of the Apes take.  I doubt it will reach planet of the apes numbers since but will close the gap a little bit.
