not too many sales popping up on Fandango pulse for Skyscraper.  It is not in the Movietickets.com top 5 either.  Must be a glitch in the system.

7:00 Skyscraper: 75/113

Rampage finished with 85 total across two shows, so this is decent. The other two shows tonight aren't looking so hot, but they've sold enough to be ahead of Rampage.

Yeah, it's now at almost 90 seats sold (or almost half full) with the 7:00 starting which is decent. Too bad it's selling terribly everywhere else (the Frank Theatres close by hasn't even sold 20 seats for the 7:00), even if this is by far the hottest location to see a movie (and the theater I frequent).

Wouldn’t be surprised if Hotel and Skyscraper both do something like 2.5 for previews. Wouldn’t be a great number for the latter though, it would need to get close to 3 to touch 30

I'd love to interview the psychopaths that still pay to see movies in 3D

probably paid premium in gas to get there too.  Last 3D I did was first time viewing IW and I got slotted into that one when showing up late for another.  Totally ruined the experience.  It is making the screen to small for me.  It is all about the 70MM IMAX format with IMAX3D right in the center, where you pay $20 bucks after work, and you can just reach out and grab the screen!

Almost every animated movie I've seen in 3D has been at least decent 3D. The medium lens itself much better to it. Haven't seen one in awhile though to comment on recent efforts. It's beyond stupid to still be seeing live action movies in 3D though, except maybe IMAX or until another movie like Gravity comes out where 3D was a focal point for the filmmaker.

Especially 3D for an animated movie which really sucks, cause you've usually got 2 parents and the 2, if not 3 kids. And the 3D surcharge basically adds the price of an extra ticket if not more. It's so dumb.

Seeing Skyscraper in 3D tonight though lol, but I ain't paying a dime for it.

Final Skyscraper sales:

7:00: 75/113

8:30: 14/78

9:30: 15/113

Total: 104/304

Comps:

90% of Pacific Rim: Uprising (25.3M) (this was Spring Break)

120% of Rampage (43M)

120% of Dunkirk (60.6M)

400% of The Commuter (54.8M)

Based on the Rampage comp, I expect this to hit 30M.

6:15 3D: 9/78

Total: 113/326 (104 2D/9 3D)

Final sales for HT3:

5:00: 48/124

6:15 3D: 9/78

7:30: 56/124

8:45 3D: 0/78

10:00: 3/124

Total: 116/528 (107 2D/9 3D)

I don't really have good comps for this. Cars 3 sold 79 tickets from a single showing, so maybe it opens on the level of that? I don't expect an opening under 40M with the way presales have been though.

Sorry to Bother You did really poorly at my theater tonight and isn't looking much better for tomorrow. I'm worried it's going to flop hard because Annapurna expanded it too fast.

This movie would not be any more than a niche thing no matter how fast or slowly they expanded. It's just too.. bonkers.
