North Shore Cinema update

Smallfoot is running at the same pace as Wonder and 6% behind Daddy’s Home 2. This is a decent start but again not expecting more than $25M OW for this one. Smallfoot is also sharing Ultrascreen with Night School over the week.

Night School I have no comps for but it has sold 43 seats which is strong for a comedy. Think it will be walk up based, thinking $30M-$40M OW.

Didn’t expect Night School to breakout but it totally makes sense that it looks like it might.

30-40m looks good for it

That one we need to not use our instinct, all Kevin Hart movies of that style (co-lead in a comedy, with a tall/rough person able to bounce back to is over the top style) did between 30 and 41.5m

Has yet to go under 33m, that one is from the producer of Girls Trip, Haddish is hot right now, not really a reason to open differently than all is previous one.

During the weekend, House has an extra screen at the expense of Searching and The Meg. Additionally, The Predator has the 2nd Biggest instead of Fahrenheit, and Assassination Nation is in an average auditorium.

North Shore Cinema update

——————————————————————

Venom is running 60.3% behind Ant Man and The Wasp ($29.81M OW), 62.1% behind Thor: Ragnarok ($46.27M OW), and 63.3% behind Spider-Man: Homecoming ($42.9M OW).

Not going to lie these are shit presales especially if it’s starting early. Still see it being more walkup friendly but my guess is somewhere from $50M-$60M OW.

My theater put A Star is Born in the largest auditorium and Venom in the second largest(edit cause I said second smallest but meant second largest lol).....and judging by tickets sold for the films so far, I'd say it was a wise decision for my theater

A Star is Born:

7:00 PM has sold 46 tickets and 10:15PM has sold 6 tickets

Venom:

5:00PM 12 tickets and 7:00 PM has sold 38 tickets  (yes it only started with two showtimes for Thursday night)

*Not gonna bother looking at the 10:00PM 3D showtime since 3D sells like shit at my theater no matter what

Venom tickets still aren't available yet, but A Star is Born is. That film is playing in the second-largest auditorium, so naturally Venom will be in the biggest one (I could be wrong though. Maybe it'll be Night School).

ASIB has only sold 16 tickets for Thursday, and while Friday's pretty weak, Saturday and Sunday have both sold 26.
