WrathOfHan
It's funny how both of this summer's horror films so far had deceptive marketing. Alien marketed the horror elements and mostly ignored the Prometheus elements save for the David/Shaw prologue, yet the film was closer in tone to Prometheus than what the trailers suggested. ICAN promised a really intense horror film, but the film is a slow moving drama/thriller (I still consider it horror given the events that unfold in the film).
GiantCALBears
Great jump, confirms (for me at least) that the NBA Finals had a major impact. The fall will be pretty hefty today. Heh, I remember when that opinion was criticized.
AniNate
I still maintain that "there's always going to be something" affecting box office grosses.

The fact that it was ever even debated that Mayweather/Pacquiao didn't have an enormous impact on Ultron's opening Saturday was always laughable. Sheesh, just look no further than the impact a far less hyped/viewed NBA Finals Game 5 had just on Monday's numbers. Dementeleus
Friday jump would be more like a 60-65% jump, I think. Figure a strong Sat jump and a small Sunday drop.

dxmatrixdt
AHH!! NVM, 100% Thurs-Fri jump seems unlikely. So I assume the Sat-Sat drop of 31% wont happen again for this week. Usually for films, the drops get lighter. I need a 100% Thurs-Fri jump to justify a mega-Saturday
