Good to see Jackman do a more serious film, he proved he could do it with Prisoners and this looks just as good.

I've heard this is real good and Reitman's strongest Oscar contender since Up In The Air. I actually have Jackman winning in my pre-festival. He'll definitely campaign and it just feels like he's someone they want to award. I could look like a moron very soon.

This is going to be a very important film. Think-pieces will express how the film depicts a time in America's past, when a shameful action, or even the mere accusation of a shameful action, was a permanent death-knell in a politician's campaign -- that is a sentiment we need to uphold again as Americans. I really like Jason Reitman (though I've only seen Juno out of his directorial resume), and I'm going to be looking forward to this in the Autumn season.

Best chance for this is probably a lone nomination for Jackman ala Denzel in Roman J. Israel, Esq. but Jackman isn't Denzel so most likely nothing.
