I thought GOTG2 dom was great too. It could well have gone the IM2 way (staying flat from IM1) if it were a lesser movie. Jump from 332=>390 very impressive imo.

Well, that Wolf Warrior movie seems to be doing pretty well. That's honestly the story of the year for box office OS or DOM. That's just nuts. Where's that one headed? $850M+ in China?

CONJ2's previews were 3.3. So it's OW-Previews were 40.4-3.3 = 37.1

So it's 2nd weekend of 14.9 was a 60% drop from OW-Previews.

 

A2's OW-Previews were 35-4 = 31. If it drops 60% from OW-Previews then the 2nd weekend will be 12.4. That's a 64.5% drop from OW.

 

That is if it behaves like CONJ2. CONJ2 had at least as good reception as A2 and in fact seemed to get much better reception.

I'm not sure if it's gonna be easy for a Hollywood-film to do it, though. It would take a small performer, DOM-wise....and a very huge performer, OS-wise to do it.
