That would be quite impressive. Today should be 9-11m I think (heh). Unless there's weekend spillover and it drops on Tuesday, not impossible.

Yeah, 65% drop on Monday gives 10m. SULLY fell 63.4%. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=daily&id=sully.htm

If that happens would leave it on track for 165-170 week 1. Close to my Dom expectations a day before release.

300 requires 2.44x

If the first ANNABELLE (2014) managed 2.27x in a short 11 week run in fall (October 3rd) with it's reception and being a spin-off which can have some front-loading (from CONJ fan-base), then with IT's reception 2.44x for 300 is well on cards.

The sites might be using 123.1 only to imply that it's gone over 123 with a Sun of 28+.

But like EC says, Sun is actually 28.6, and for all we and these sites know the actuals might come in 123.5-124.

edit: nvm, looked at forbes numbers

Forbes says:

50.2 + 44.9 + 28.

maybe that's another reason WB went with a 55% sunday drop. they must have known by sunday that friday came in lower than 51 and sat could be a lower too.

still think going with 120 estimate instead of 117.15 was more normal behavior.

WB's biggest OW to not involve Batman or Potter in any way.

this is in no way a knock to spidey but say this out loud and let it sink in....

A horror filmed opened to more than a Spiderman film.

good god.

And above Wonder Woman. I mean really, if we were to ask months ago with film will have the higher opening weekend, everyone is saying wonder woman, including me.
