WEEKEND Box Office: BOO-21.6M; Geostorm-13.3M; OTB-6M; Snowman-3.4M

Recommended Posts

Btw, DHD projected Blade Runner's drop from 60+ to now 53%. I fucking called it, no way was 2049 actually dropping that bad when it showed no signs of it whatsoever (even despite the theater purge + IMAX loss) :sparta:

(It's still not good though, another 50% drop in its 3rd weekend means that its 100M chances are either on life support or straight up dead)

DHD is the worst. They suck at multiplying and always predict lower total than possible.

Disaster porn always kills it here. And wait, Fassbender is a draw here in Portugal?

We really are the polar opposite of America.

Yeah, he is a draw. The marketing campaign had him front and center. Pretty much all of his mid level and major releases here make a lot of money.

What's wrong with Portugal? :D I'm shocked to be honest cause the Portugese are warn people so Mr Fridge shouldn't be their thing in theory. And yet. :jeb!:

Well, considering that the weather right now is not really hot per say, it makes more sense :D

It's like I said: I think we are the opposite of America in everything that's related to storytelling (movies, TV, etc.).

Yeah, AM is actually a small scale solid performer for Universal. Quite profitable OS/WW, and it will hit a 3x multiplier DOM by the looks of it. All hail Liman and Cruise.

WOEFUL 2nd weekend drop for Happy Death Day. I was expecting a much better 2nd weekend drop than that, considering the pretty good wom. At least it didn't stumble as bad as All Eyez On Me or something like that, but it will stall at 50M DOM when it could've done close to 75 or 80. Still, with a budget of only 5M, this movie is yet another huge hit for Blumhouse.

Snowman absolutely pitiful. Oh well, the budget is moderate so maybe OS can save it. Or not.

They actually went from 53% drop to 57% drop and back to 53%.

2) ....then changed to 57% drop (6.7m weekend and 1.9m Friday) https://forums.boxofficetheory.com/topic/24967-weekend-box-office-friday-boo-745m-geostorm-416m-otb-215m-snowman-135m/?do=findComment&comment=3218499

3) ....and now is again 53% with 2m Friday.

Quote
