There are five Denzel Washington movies on Netflix and Prime that I have not seen yet:

Book of Eli

Man on Fire

Chasing Trane

American Gangster

2 Guns

Which one should I watch?

Man on Fire

@DAR it's over. It's really over. Family Vacation was great, that was a great season. MTV hit that nostalgia perfectly. IDK if season 2 will completely hit the same magic though, apparently Deena is out and filming ended prematurely because Ronnie's girl is batshit. And apparently they didn't bring Angelina back for whatever reason. I'm hoping it's a fun ride, but we'll see.

The genre split has me interested. I have a feeling the R&B side will provide the better tracks but we'll see; Drizzy is unpredictable

whichever it is, looking at the tracklist i'm betting the side with nice for what is better than the side with god's plan and i'm upset on it because oof.

if kids are playing and parents or other authorities say "play time is over", does this set the kids back in time, or is it the right thing to do for kids to stop playing?

Also, I assume the kids would then be exiting their own reality and coming back to a selected reality on an invisible platform.

i don't expect anything. the running theory on r/hiphopheads is that the track March 14th might have something to do with that because that's the day he went to wyoming to meet kanye? seems like a stretch to me, and if he spends another diss track talking more shit about kanye than push that's just weak. that's worse than not responding.

Watched The Equalizer. Very silly, but still all good. Love that our greatest living actor can make things like this and then go ahead and make things like Roman J. Israel, Esq on the side.

Also watched Malcolm X earlier and Denzel is super good in that too. The ending hit me like a ton of bricks. Great stuff.

time for me to brag about seeing him live from the tenth row about a month ago. fucking jaw-dropping

American Gangster is easily the best of all those movies.

Trying to work on improving my programming abilities while I have time.  It’ll be useful for me a year or so down the road (given I’ve been told in grad school one of my professor’s had to pretty much reconstruct their analysis programs) This stuff was much more tedious than I remembered.

Man on Fire wins on the virtue of American Gangster being three hours long. The call of Roman J. Israel, Esq is strong though.

Dr. T & the Women has to be the most boring movie ever. Not even the closing shot of a real life birth with the baby coming out of the vagina and everything could redeem it.

The Contender is an underrated movie though. More people here should watch it if they haven't.
