With the exception of force ghost Luke, there will be no marketing factor of having the OT actors in there. I’m curious what they’ll do to draw audiences back in. Personally, I’d kill for a scene between Kylo and Force Ghost Anakin. SAME

ROTS increased from ATOC, and yea sure that had the Vader hook but I'm willing to bet Disney is going to at least market this one with a hook of its own. They'd be dumb not to. 1 What is the interesting aspects of Epsiode 9, in comparison to ROTJ though? Rose and Fin's Love Story? Poe continuing to act like an idiot? The lack of any mystery behind Rey after her revelations... -sure Anakin was the same but he was going to be Darth Vader in ROTS. Ren going Full Trump (okay that be just interesting to see at least)? The introduction of the ultimate bad guy, wait Snoke is dead. The final climatic battle of Rey vs Ren? -Wait Rey already won and they fought to a draw, so there goes any buildup about that. The sins of bad storytelling of JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson have pretty much resulted in a storyline that really does translate well into a traditional trilogy. I would be honest they could leave the Story at TLJ for this storyline based on how that film was made. The issue is the new characters on their own are just not that fascinating to drive a great conclusion imo. There has to be Luke or connections to the past to bring this nine Episode Storyline arc to a conclusion and imo that is the hook or arc that most SW fans will care about. TFA had some of the best new character building of any modern blockbuster. Ah well.

Ah well. I think that is what people on this site do not understand why TLJ got such a backlash from people. TLJ hook was based on the cliffhanger of Luke at the end of TFA. What the heck did TLJ give us for episode 9 that was anywhere as interesting? Edited April 14, 2018 by Lordmandeep
somebody85
I'd say TLK or Avengers 4 wins. I think E9 drops off from TLJ.

Worldwide maybe the fourth of the year. 6 minutes ago, FantasticBeasts said: Episode IX will make $500m DOM and a tiny over $1b OS.
IronJimbo
That would actually be great if Episode 9 makes less than a bil worldwide, it would force another reboot. Hopefully they will have learned from their mistakes this time around.
