Prometheus OS thread

Again, Avengers was not huge in most of Europe. Doing less than half of it in some country is nothing to write home about.

I mentioned The Avengers for reference for The Netherlands because it is the biggest movie of the year by FAR here (and it's not done yet). If it does half of The Avengers it would still be the 4th biggest movie of the year so far.

300M should happen, combined with a strong domestic total of 150m it should see a WW gross close to 500m.Maybe it can beat FOXs big summer hit last year, ROTPOTA grossed 484m WW so I guess that is a great target to aim for.It is locked to be Ridley Scott's highest grossing film OS and will most likely beat Gladiator's 458m WW gross to become his highest grossing film of all time.A smash hit IMO.

Really interested to see what the second weekend's gonna be, especially in UK and Aus. If it drops 55-60% it'll do the same in US next weekend.

It is the first weekend of release in AUS

It will drop hard everywhere, so 200M-ish is where it will land. 300M is pipedream at this point.

Why so pessimistic? You haven't even seen the film. Ignore what the internet nerds tell you, Prometheus is at 74% on RT, 64% on Metacritic, it's not that bad. :)

Agreed all this doom and gloom suddenly simmering for Prometheus domestically won't have much affect on how it will play OS.
