BR is in Drama. Here are some category classifications:

Drama:

A Star Is Born

BlacKkKlansman

Bohemian Rhapsody

Can You Ever Forgive Me?

Vox Lux

Comedy:

The Favourite

Vice

Green Book

Ah, OK. Now I see why CRA is shaky. But maybe Vice flops again?

a good thing for A Star is Born is that even though it's the frontrunner it feels like the backlash has been hitting other movies way more. kinda going under the radar while everyone is busy shitting on green book or whatever. not looking like it's gonna be a la la land/3 billboards situation.

Bohemian Rhapsody as well as the season’s other #problematic movie even though it’s not expected to get anything other than a Best Actor nomination.

Annnnnddddd Kevin Hart has dropped out as Oscar host following the controversy over old homophobic tweets and his disaster of apology attempts.

What a dumbass. All he had to do was say he was sorry and was a changed man and whatnot and it all would’ve blown over and yet this happened. Now I wonder who they are gonna get, since if nobody wanted this gig before, they sure won’t want it now. I guess Kimmel a third time it is then. Sigh.

At this point, I don’t care who they get to host anymore. Just someone that’s not named Jimmy Kimmel.

Clay already mentioned Emily Blunt, but I think they should go for the Krasinski-Blunt combo as hosts this year. They're a real-life couple, so there's no worry about chemistry. Like the year Seth MacFarlane hosted, both of them are off of banner years, with A Quiet Place, Mary Poppins, and Jack Ryan all being critical and commercial hits. They're well-liked by the industry, they have no spotty past, and they can offer the class and comedy hosts like these would have.
