And hey, maybe it's just me. I just can't get over the fact that Chalamet looks like he's 14 or 15 in the movie. The dude is tiny.

He doesn't look like 14 or 15 at all.  He looks late teens/early twenties which he was.   His age and size doesn't seem to bother any one in his sex scenes with a woman in the film, played by an actress who's 26 and looks a bit older than the age she's supposedly playing. Nor did they seem to bother any one in Lady Bird.

He does look physically slighter and vulnerable next to Hammer because he is, Hammer is a big man. Almost any adult woman would too but that doesn't bother some people because for them women are supposed to be vulnerable to men but men being vulnerable to other men hits a certain button.

Jumanji practically guaranteed to be the #2 movie of 2017 at my theatre. It's going to pass our equivalent of 500M today, and it's going to be around until fifty Shades at least, and we might keep it an extra week till black panther. Either way, it's likely to pass BatB's 507.9M here to be the #2

Aw man I was hoping Winchester would stay above $10m.

The expansions for I Tonya and CBMYN suck. Hopefully I Tonya can drag itself to $30m eventually.

I am hoping for a push for I, Tonya with the Winter Olympics. If not, it will be a huge missed opportunity.

It is dead since January 12.

Why no love for Steven Spielberg anymore? He hasn’t had a big box office hit since Lincoln in 2012. Hopefully Ready Player One is great and make blockbuster money because studios might not rely on him anymore if it fails.

3-day: $10M (-38%)

Look like they took making 38% of the first weekend for a -38% or something like that.

I guess Deadline forgot Sunday is the Super Bowl because no way in hell is MR3 not dropping over 50% this weekend.

Typo I think

Spielberg is old hat at this point.... (note just making a comment, not my personal belief.) Most of the young folks I hear talk about film these days recognize him as a big past director, but not today. And admittedly it has been 10 years (!) since he has truly done a blockbuster in the vein of the General Audience Blockbuster. His production company has been busy but his focus on smaller films (or no films depending on the year) hasn't cemented him to the newest generation of film-goers.

That and the fact that while competently made (and among my 10 ten each year) his last several films have been very by the books - almost to the point of being another Clint Eastwood.
