I’m not so sure a Muslim superhero would do very well on the big screen anytime within the next few years.

This movie has bewildered a lot of critics and such for its success but after watching it I can see the appeal. This is more of a 2000s comic book movie and the tone is quite different from the MCU and DCU films. 

 

This movie could have been much better but I think Sony was not fully believing in this concept at first... Maybe the sequel will up the quality up as Venom can be a very fascinating character and is very likeable.

 

I just think this movie could have easily been an epic origin movie but it turned out to be a very silly but entertaining film.

Weekends for markets like China and Japan do not appear to be counted in current totals (all numbers on The-Numbers add up to 631.7 INT with China sitting at 251 million). Is this because they track Mon to Sun and won't be added until next week? China was down only 37% week over week and 2nd place, no extension would be odd?

Morally, Venom is above all Spider-Man movies since SM3.
