The Saturday numbers all around are strange.

Similar small bumps to 2007 and 2012.  Looks like Thur and Friday were inflated due to people taking a long holiday

Great start for AMATW in OS markets. Locks up atleast 450M and may even do ~500 depending on China. So-so start in US-CAN but Summer weekdays will definitely help just like they helped first Ant Man and SMH . Expecting 2.7-2.8 Multiplier for ~210M DOM finish.

Bottom line is, its going to make more money than the first one and be profitable.  Its going to be pretty healthy OS if nothing else.

Was there some kind of tv/sports event in the US? Or some other reason why the SAT was kinda muted? Judging from the BOM numbers, not only Ant-Man is affected, but practically every movie  Maybe the extended July 4th-holiday shifted some business away from the weekend to Wednesday?

It was probably just an extended weekend for everybody considering the 4th fell on a Wednesday this year.

yep, there's silver lining in that. It's increasing everywhere which is good and  OS which is better and  in expanding markets such as SK which is the best.

Summer of 2018 will go down in infamy as the summer that brought down the evil empire.

Somewhere on a beach Tele is drinking to this.

Tele actually said he thought Ant Man looked like a lot of fun and has (had?) Black Panther, Solo and Deadpool 2 in his top 5 of the year
