The 2019 BOFFY Awards - Nomination Announcements Beginning! See pg 10

Just a quick check, would you guys prefer the normal cats to have 5 or 6 nominees?

We’ve done both in the past, and since there’s a tiebreaker system it makes no difference to me which we do. (BP will still be 10)

For 6 nominees react/reply to this post with :winomg:

For 5 nominees react/reply  to this post with :apocalypse:

A few more hours till the deadline, I'll be fairly flexible, but there is time.

There's some pretty tight races.

Plus, @aabattery is in New Zealand so extra lenient to him or anyone else across the globe.

If you just want to judge most epic box office by how many dollars it grossed... there's a chart for that.

We had many musicals gross 400+ million this decade. So I don't think ASIB's gross is anything epic or remarkable. Infinity War was predicted to do much less (cause of CIVIL WARS gross / superhero fatigue ) and despite that it shattered opening weekend record and went on to become one of the FEW 2 billion dollar grossing movies. Those numbers are far to big to put it under a movie like ASIB.

Many? There are... 2? LLL and the greatest showman. If you want to count beauty and the breast as a music film then there are 3.

Also it went what 46 months without a drama film that gross 200M and now two come along at once. They should be celebrated.

Les Miserables (2012) - 441 million

Mamma Mia 2 - 394 million (almost 400)

Mary poppins 2 - will probably reach 400 million.

Not going to include the animated musicals - but as you can see 400 million for a musical movie isn't anything remarkable. Also it being the first drama movie to gross 200 million doesn't put it above Infinity War which has a far greater achievement - being the 4th movie in history to cross the 2 billion mark. It's not even debatable which is more impressive LOL. Putting ASIB over IW is ludicrous!

I only just got the joke (I blame it on having 3 hours sleep in the past 2 days, but please people don't vote for me on that sort of value, people who bring utility should be getting it.

Might send him a PM, ask if I nominate him if he could hook me up with a supermodel.
