4815162342
A guy who is white can't have a latino name? Da Costa is Italian/Spanish (Spain), etc. I'm not sure what you're getting at. Latino and Hispanic is an overlap. Hispanics can be white, black, mestizo, or some combination of the three. They speak Spanish, have names rooted in Spanish, etc.
The Futurist
Latino is not a race, Matt Damon can be latino in a film. Case Closed.
Neo
he's supposed to be latino. it's in the script and there's some throwaway line about nothing but latinos left in LA. Do you have the piece of the script that he is latino? All Latinos? No.
Intensive
Why does this have such an awful release date?
CoolioD1
Do you have the piece of the script that he is latino? All Latinos? No. I read the script. the pdf is super duper easy to find.

Saying the name Da Costa has Italian and Spanish (Spain) origins? So can doesn't have to be Latino/Hispanic as you say.

CoolioD1
So, no? no, i don't have it. I read it 3 years ago. but if you cared enough to start pointlessly nitpicking a joke then I'm sure you can take the five minutes to find it yourself. Took a look at the abridged script and couldn't find it. The foreman is white. Edited February 25, 2015 by Neo

Klingo
So Chastain's big franchise movie ends up being... this? What options does she have? Did she beg for a superhero movie? Or a young adult movie to be in?
CoolioD1
she's turned down a few of them. I know mi5 was one.
John Marston
What options does she have? Did she beg for a superhero movie? Or a young adult movie to be in? she was supposed to be in Iron Man 3 and actually cast but had to back out last minute.
grim22
she was supposed to be in Iron Man 3 and actually cast but had to back out last minute. That may have been for the best. Rebecca Hall (who replaced Chastain) was barely in the movie, whatever role she had seemed to have been cut out completely. The casting call referred to the role as a female lead, but she ended up with maybe 5 minutes of screentime. Sam
she was supposed to be in Iron Man 3 and actually cast but had to back out last minute. Thank God she did. She can do way better than that thankless role. Still though, this one. Damn. But on the bright side, Chastain, Theron, Blunt in the same movie; that's...very hot.
CoolioD1
Just so you know, she had to drop out of iron man 3 because she was still shooting zero dark thirty. probably a smart choice. that role hasn't exactly sent rebecca hall's career sky rocketing. or maybe we can blame wally pfister for that.
Caboose
This is purely being made to fulfill contractual obligations, right?
Kalo
Okay a script by Frank Arpad Darabont. and adding Emily Blunt, and Jessica Chastain. this might actually be okay. just need to get rid of Cedric Nicolas-Troyan now.
