THE HUNTSMAN WINTER'S WAR | April 22, 2016 | New Trailer on Page 42!

They tried with Rush and it lost money. Scarlett is a bigger draw than Hems.

There's a big difference between a sci-fi thriller/action flick coming out in July, and a September movie about a rivalry in formula 1 racing.Rush had absolutely no chance of having domestic appeal.

It was a studio backed movie and they were campaigning for Oscars. It underperformed domestically and worldwide. I am not holding this against Hemsworth but he hasn't proven his draw yet like Scarlett. He added nothing to Rush but Scarlett Johansson was a big reason why Lucy made so much money.

Emily Blunt to play the villain "The Snow Queen". Expect a show stopping musical number from her. Meanwhile Frank Darabont has left the project altogether citing creative differences: http://www.thewrap.com/emily-blunt-in-negotiations-to-play-villain-in-the-huntsman-opposite-chris-hemsworth-exclusive/

Emily Blunt is in negotiations to join Chris Hemsworth in Universal’s “Snow White and the Huntsman” sequel “The Huntsman,” multiple individuals with knowledge of the project have toldTheWrap.

Director Frank Darabont abruptly left the project this week but Universal is moving full-steam ahead and a new filmmaker is expected to be hired next week.

Universal did not confirm the casting, though the studio did confirm Darabont’s exit, citing creative differences.

Hemsworth is reprising his role as Eric, the Huntsman who aided Kristen Stewart‘s Snow White in the original Rupert Sanders film. The sequel sends the Huntsman on a quest to find the magic mirror (which has been stolen), forcing him to face not only his past but the evil Snow Queen who’s set on avenging her sister Ravenna’s death.

Charlize Theron will return as the villainous Ravenna and Blunt is making a deal to play her sister, the evil Snow Queen.

Joe Roth is producing the film, which will be executive produced by Palak Patel. Darabont wrote the current draft of the screenplay, with earlier drafts by Craig Mazin and Evan Spiliotopoulos.

I hated the first one and there's no doubt this will be worse, but SHIT the prospect of Blunt hamming it up as the villain in this means I'll probably see it. Nonetheless with every passing year it seems even more regretful that she had to turn down black widow.

Oh... Darabront was the reason I wanted to see this. He if anyone could make this film great. Now that he's gone, I doubt the movie will be as good... however I am in love with Emily Blunt so I'm there opening weekend. We basically have a pre arranged marriage, she just doesn't know it yet...

I see this comment made alot about actresses and the like and it always gives off strong John Hinckley Jr. vibes.
