That would take FFH to 401. Apart from this Tue I don't think it will manage to match SMH numbers and 190 odd more for 385+ seems to be the high-end honestly. Which is a great high-end and about 50 more than SMH's dom. SMH's Aug was great. We’ll have to see. OS numbers will still carry FFH to a billion. Personally I never got why everyone assumed Guardians 2 would hit a billion. The original movie wasn't especially impressive OS (Winter Soldier made more OS despite being significantly behind DOM) and they didn't have the Avengers boost sequels like Dark World and Winter Soldier had. Something like $857m dom doesn’t seem so crazy after all. 1 hour ago, sfran43 said: This is arguably the best Spider-Man film of all time, and while this is below what I expected, I expect WOM to be real high for this one. We’ll get a clearer picture of where it’s heading after this weekend, but I do think $1B WW is safe.

Ms Lady Hawk
While I loved FFH, the best Spider-Man movie is Spider-Man 2 (McGuire’s version). That movie had everything in it- romance, action, a great villain... Fantastic!!!! 3 1
Darth Lehnsherr
The discrepancy between the increase FFH is having DOM and the increase it's having OS from Homecoming suggests if MCU fatigue sets in it'll be with DOM way before it affects OS. GOTG Vol 2 hitting $1 Billion was always gonna be tough but I did expect OS to at least hit $1 Billion. Ragnarok pretty easily beat Vol 2's OS gross. These movies capture everything I want in a Spider-Man movie in terms of the texture (the atmosphere, humour, etc) but they don't really have the depth the first two had. The ending to Spider-Man is still one of the heartbreaking endings to a superhero movie (which I rewatched just yesterday) because it does such a good job of exploring the burdens of being a superhero. Honestly, most superhero movies haven't come anywhere close to Spider-Man 1 and 2 in answering what it means to be superhero as a whole.

It's heading for a 15-20% increase DOM, a 72% increase in China, and a ~20% increase in OS-C. There's the discrepancy.
