Agree that the climax is fairly satisfying. Will do a rewatch of the whole trilogy again once I have all three on bluray next year.

 

Maybe the overall story arc works better viewing the films in succession. Strange how a trilogy with the same writing team went so off the rails after a promising start.

 

The whole "this Myers isn't a supernatural force" is pure bs given what happens in kills and ends. It's a really problematic stance when you do multiple films with this type of character. It's more plausible to make him a demonic/preternatural force of evil.

I’d like to see an A24 Halloween, but not a TV show. It might’ve worked for Bates Motel, but I can’t see it working here unless they’re going the Halloween 3 anthology route. But if that’s the case, why even bother getting the rights to the IP, when you think “Halloween”, you think Michael Myers.
