Went to see this again tonight, a Halloween double bill with Barbarian. 
 

Still feel exactly the same, the you-know-who stuff is just a waste of time. Satisfying climax though.

Agree that the climax is fairly satisfying. Will do a rewatch of the whole trilogy again once I have all three on bluray next year.

 

Maybe the overall story arc works better viewing the films in succession. Strange how a trilogy with the same writing team went so off the rails after a promising start.

 

The whole "this Myers isn't a supernatural force" is pure bs given what happens in kills and ends. It's a really problematic stance when you do multiple films with this type of character. It's more plausible to make him a demonic/preternatural force of evil.

Halloween as a TV show is bad enough (that Friday the 13th one sounds awful), but A24? What a bad fit, I like their stuff but not for trashy slasher sequels!

I’d like to see an A24 Halloween, but not a TV show. It might’ve worked for Bates Motel, but I can’t see it working here unless they’re going the Halloween 3 anthology route. But if that’s the case, why even bother getting the rights to the IP, when you think “Halloween”, you think Michael Myers.

Yeh I’m always much less interested in TV than Film. 
 

If they want to do a Halloween III style thing that would be fine by me though.
